SORO FES 2021 Individual Competition

The "Individual Competition" is a competition in which E-students and Center Students come together and compete in groups of roughly 25 people according to level. Winners of gold, silver and bronze will be decided for each of the four categories from the games: "Ready Go!" and "How Many?". Have fun doing mental calculation online with friends from all around the world!

Individual Competition Details

■Date：August 8th, 2021 (Sunday)
※Games last about 20 minutes. Participants will be notified of the schedule by email on July 23rd (Friday).
■Participation requirements
・Be 5 to 12 years old at the time of application
・Be between J7 to U12 (E-Student or Center Student)
・Be able to participate via Zoom with video ON and be comfortable with their face being published on the internet and social media. (We may also interview children during the match.)
■How to apply
・Signup Period：July 12th (Monday) to July 16th (Friday)
・Register from the “Apply” on SoroTouch MyPage
■Divisions
・Junior Division：J7 to J12 students
・Super Division：S1 to S12 students
・Ultra Division：U1 to U12 students
※Students will be assigned to their divisions based on their stage at the time of application. Their division will not be changed later, even if they move up a stage.

■Awards
・Students will receive virtual gold, silver, and bronze medals corresponding to the, first, second, and third place winners in each category at a later date. All participants will receive a virtual participation prize. Virtual prizes can be viewed in the SoroTouch App

Event Details

■"Ready Go!"

Challenge your personal best with the game "Ready Go!". Gold, silver and bronze are decided by who gets the most points.
■Events
①Add/Sub: Visible, 3 numbers

③Division ※Super and Ultra divisions only
※If there is a tie, there will be multiple winners.

■"How Many?"

"How Many?" is made up of 5 rounds of Flash Anzan. When you enter the answer to "How Many?", the result will be displayed on the shared screen and the winner will be decided.

・Junior division：Basic, 1 digit 7 numbers/ 2 digit 5 numbers/ Normal 2 digit 3 numbers, etc
・Super division：Normal, 1 digit 7 numbers/ 2 digit 7 numbers/ 3 digit 3 numbers, etc
・Ultra division：Normal, 2 digit 10 numbers/ 3 digit 5 numbers/ 4 digit 3 numbers, etc
※Speed：motorcycle, train, etc.
※If there are 3 or more people in 1st place at the end of the 5th round, overtime will be held.
※Practice for the event with the game "Flash"!!

Additional Notes

・The competition will be held online using Zoom. Participants need a device that can connect to Zoom in addition to their iPad for SoroTouch (mobile phone, PC, etc.).
・We will not be able to support participants if there are any technical difficulties on the participant’s end during the match.
・If the points displayed in SoroRoom are diffrent from the points displayed on the participant’s iPad, the points displayed in SoroRoom will be used.
・If siblings of a participant are also signed up and match times overlap, we cannot make adjustments.
(Multiple siblings will be able to join at the same time if there is an iPad and a Zoom connection for each of them)
・The competition will be livestreamed on YouTube. In addition, content from the event will be posted on our website and social media.
