Learning Age

Perfect for children around 5 ~ 8 years old!

After teaching over 400 students, we find that pre-k to 2nd grade students are in their optimal age to learn!
Older students and adults may find it difficult to continue the training.

Our Lab Center in Iidabashi currently teaches SoroTouch to children from pre-k to 4th grade. We find that students in lower grade levels tend to retain the material and learn faster. As children get older, the amount of work given at school increases. Besides, students become busy with other extra curricular activities, giving them less time to practice SoroTouch. Furthermore, children who learn math calculation by writing down the problems for a long time, undeniably experience difficulties training their mind imaging skills. Thus, learning mental calculation may rather become a struggle for older students. We recommend to begin SoroTouch from pre-k~2nd grade and to complete all 720 missions within 2 years.

Practicing every day for just 30 minutes helps to increase mental calculation skills!

The students at the Lab Center study for about an average of 20 to 30 minutes a day. On average, over 50% of the students that study for 30+ minutes everyday have accomplished all 720 missions.

Anyone can learn from 3 to 81 years old!

Even if you are not within the optimal age range, you can still learn!

At the Lab Center, we only enroll children who are at the age of pre-k to 2nd grade, although there has been cases where students that started as 3 or 4 year old who have cleared all 720 missions.
Older students who are already used to the hand written calculation method, tend to encounter difficulties calculating through imaging, as they reach upper level coursework. On the other hand, there are cases in which adults who began SoroTouch that reached Stage S10 and even higher.
Regardless of your age, learning through SoroTouch is not something to be discouraged from doing just because it is aimed at younger children. Anyone of any age can start and learn at their own pace.
