FAQ
Before Enrollment
From what age can my child start?
The recommended age to start learning is from 5 to 8 years old, but if your child can understand the numbers 1 to 10 and understand the video explanations, please give it a try.
However, since the game is being developed for elementary school students, if the students start too early, they may get stuck midway through missions that gradually become more difficult. Please try SoroTouch’s first-registration month free period and consider whether to continue using SoroTouch based on how your child is doing.
How many missions should I do per a day?
One flag corresponds to one mission. In the app, three flags appear, but there is no limit to the amount you can study in a day—you can complete as many flags as you like.
Based on the achievements of SoroTouch learners, those who progress through about three missions daily in the beginner stage often reach advanced mental calculation levels. The difficulty increases as you advance through the stages, so aim to tackle the missions daily at a pace that you can sustain comfortably.

What is the difference between a Center student and an E-Student?
Both E-Students and Center Students learn using “SoroTouch,” but their learning styles differ as described below. Please choose the option that best suits your child’s personality and your family’s lifestyle.
●E-Students
Students can learn at their own pace and at any time from home. Since they study independently, maintaining motivation can be a challenge. However, E-Students have access to events and consultation services via email to support their learning.
●Center Students
In addition to home study, students attend a class (with online options available) once a week. Using a center-exclusive app, they can enjoy learning through friendly competition with peers of different ages and skill levels, enhancing their mental calculation abilities in a game-like setting. This shared environment helps foster independent learning by allowing students to track each other’s progress, encouraging motivation and engagement.
Both styles provide strong support for your child’s growth.

Is it possible to attend both SoroTouch and math classes at the same time?
SoroTouch is a learning method that perceives numbers not as digits but as shapes. If answers are derived through written calculations, it becomes harder to develop visualization skills.
Therefore, if you are considering combining SoroTouch with other math classes, starting those after achieving a solid foundation in image-based mental arithmetic (around S12 level) with SoroTouch is recommended. This approach can maximize the synergistic effects.
When does the free period for E-student end?
The free trial period for SoroTouch lasts from the day you register until the end of the same month. Therefore, if you register at the end of the month, the free period will end in just a few days, and the app usage fee will be charged on the 1st of the following month.
To make the most of your free trial, we recommend registering at the beginning of the month, as this will give you a longer trial period.
Can children learn on their own even if their parents don’t know how to use an abacus?
SoroTouch is designed so that learners can progress by following instructional videos provided as learning materials. Therefore, it is not a problem if parents have no prior experience or knowledge of using an abacus.
Can someone with abacus experience start using SoroTouch?
It is possible for someone with abacus experience to start using SoroTouch. However, due to differences between the up-and-down motion of the abacus and the on-off method of SoroTouch, as well as the difference between one-handed and two-handed mode, we do not recommend using both the abacus and SoroTouch simultaneously for learning.
If siblings are learning together, is a separate tablet required for each person?/h2>
A single tablet can be shared by switching accounts. However, if you wish to study simultaneously, you will need one tablet per person.
Is it possible to do SoroTouch abroad?
You can study as an E-student if you live in one of the following countries or regions: Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United States.

Can I change from E-student to a Center student?
It is possible to switch from an E-student to a Center student. By providing the account information you use as an E-student (nickname, email address) to the SoroTouch Center where you wish to attend classes, your learning history can be carried over. No deletion, termination,or suspension of your E-student enrollment is required when switching to a Center student. Please be aware that if you proceed with deletion or termination, all your learning history will be erased.
※ To avoid overlapping charges for the first month’s tuition and the E-student usage fee, please notify the Center by the end of the month prior to the month you wish to enroll as a Center student. Please note that the process of switching to Center student status may take a few days, so we recommend contacting the Center with sufficient time in advance.

Can I change from Center student to a E-student?
To switch from being a Center student to an E-student, please first complete the withdrawal procedure at your current SoroTouch Center and inform them that you wish to transition to an E-student.
Your app usage will be temporarily suspended on the 1st of the month following your Center student withdrawal. However, by completing the procedure to continue as an E-student, you will be able to resume your learning from where you left off.
*Please note that SoroTouch may not be available as an E-student in certain countries or regions overseas.
If you want to stop using the service as an E-student.
There are three ways to stop using the service as an E-student. In all cases, the status will be set to “reserved” at the time of the procedure, and you will still be able to use the app until the end of the month. You will no longer be able to use the service from the following month.
Additionally, you can cancel the “reservation” from MyPage until the end of the month.
Suspension
Select this option if you wish to temporarily stop your child’s usage. No fees will be incurred during the suspension period. Usage can be resumed at any time, but the monthly usage fee will be charged as soon as you press Resume. (Note: There are no prorated fees).
Deletion
Select this option if you wish to permanently stop the usage for one or more children. Once deletion is carried out, the learning history for the selected child will be permanently erased and cannot be restored. If there is a possibility of resuming in the future, please consider using “Suspension” instead.
Terminate Membership
Select this option if you wish to completely stop usage for all registered children. Once membership termination is completed, all learning history will be permanently erased and cannot be restored. If there is a possibility of resuming for any child, avoid termination.
Additionally, you can cancel the “reservation” from MyPage until the end of the month.
