Mother of Ayane(Grade4) and Tsukasa(Grade1)
I want my child to have fun learning math without having to worry about being bad at it.
We started SoroTouch because we wanted our daughter to improve her mental arithmetic skills. My older sister started in the first grade of elementary school, and it became a habit, so she started studying every day without our parents telling her to. There are systems that encourage you to continue every day, such as a fun system where you can receive medals and a ranking system for everyone, and there are teachers in the classroom who praise you if you work hard. I believe that SoroTouch is definitely the reason why she has acquired this independent behavior.
My younger brother seems to feel that he has acquired the ability to do mental arithmetic, and at his kindergarten graduation ceremony he even said in front of everyone, “I want to work hard at math in elementary school!” I think this is also thanks to the teacher who praised him and encouraged him, saying, “That’s amazing!”
The siblings were taking the class together, and it helped motivate each other, with the younger brother wanting to surpass his older sister and the older sister trying not to be overtaken by her younger brother. As a result, they both cleared the final stage, U12, at roughly the same time. Even after switching to online classes, the older sister has continued to challenge the U12 level, continuing to study in order to improve her success rate. The younger brother is motivated by his friends, so he still enjoys attending classes.
As a parent, I was not good at arithmetic and mathematics, but I want my children to learn in a fun way without feeling that they are not good at it. The confidence that “I can do it if I try” that was born from SoroTouch is a lifelong asset. I hope that they will be able to use the brain that they have cultivated through mental arithmetic in various areas, not just calculations.
